Cancellations & Course Deferral Policy

Refunds, Cancellations & Course Deferral Policy

Introduction
This policy outlines the terms for refunds, cancellations, and course deferrals in line with UK consumer protection laws, including the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

  1. Deposit Payments

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure a place on any course.
This deposit covers administrative costs and will not be refunded under any circumstances, including cancellations or non-attendance.
  2. Course Fees

Once full payment has been made, course fees are non-refundable, except in the limited situations outlined in Section 3.
If a learner is unable to attend their original course date:
They may reschedule to a future date within 3 months, subject to availability.
Only one reschedule is permitted per booking.
Rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours before the course start date.
  3. Cancellations by the Learner

More Than 14 Days Before the Course Start Date
Learners who cancel more than 14 days in advance may be eligible for a partial refund, minus the non-refundable deposit.
Refunds in this period are granted at the discretion of Avenir.
A £50 administrative fee will be deducted from any refundable amount.
Within 14 Days of the Course Start Date
No refunds are available for cancellations made within 14 days of the course start date.
Learners may reschedule once to another available date within 3 months.
  4. Cancellations or Rescheduling by Avenir

    If Avenir cancels a course:
Learners will be automatically deferred to the next available course date, scheduled within 14 days of the original date.
If the learner cannot attend the deferred date, they may request an alternative date within 3 months.
A full refund will be issued if no suitable rescheduled date is available within 3 months.
A £50 administrative fee will be deducted from company-initiated refunds unless the cancellation is entirely the company’s fault, in which case no fee will apply.
  5. Non-Attendance, Course Withdrawal & Refunds

Learners who fail to attend without providing at least 24 hours’ notice will forfeit all fees.
No refunds or rescheduling options will be offered for no-shows.
Once a learner has enrolled and started the course, the full course fee remains payable, even if they withdraw before completion.
In exceptional circumstances (e.g., medical emergencies), cases may be reviewed individually. Management decisions are final and binding.
  6. Cooling-Off Period (Online or Telephone Bookings Only)

Online or phone bookings include a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase, during which a full refund may be requested.
If the course is due to start within this period, and the learner agrees for training to begin, the right to a full refund is waived once the course has commenced.
  7. Exceptional Circumstances / Force Majeure

In serious personal situations (e.g., bereavement, medical emergencies):
A discretionary deferral or partial refund may be offered.
    Supporting evidence may be required.
All decisions are at the sole discretion of management.
If a course cannot continue due to events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions):
Learners will be rescheduled to the next available date or refunded if rescheduling is not possible.
  8. Payment Method for Refunds

Approved refunds will be issued only to the original payment method used.
Refunds will be processed within 14 business days of approval.
